￼This is a yoga practice for beginners and experienced yogis who want to explore the benefits of integrating yoga and mindfulness meditation.
Yoga asanas (postures) help to promote a deeper awareness of the physical body, creating a grounding effect which encourages relaxation and calms the mind. “The First Foundation of Mindfulness” is essentially about awareness of the body. In this gentle practice we will be using simple mindfulness techniques to promote a deeper awareness of our experience in asana. Our intention is to create an alert yet relaxed attention that prepares us for the practice of Mindful Meditation. Both practices support each other in developing self-compassion and well-being.
