World premiere of a new play by local playwright Michael Caemmerer on the value of art.
“Angel…” is a work of ‘memoir-ical fiction.’ It is a story based on pieces of the life of the author and so is fully true. And yet the story never happened. Centered around this actual painting, Angel on a 50th Birthday is a play about how we assign value to the things we collect, and how hard it is to let go of some things no matter how much we dislike them.
