Join wildlife biologists to hear more about Human-Black Bear conflicts in small towns, including here in Leavenworth, and what you can do to mitigate these conflicts. We will start the evening with a short presentation from Rich Beausoleil, statewide Bear & Cougar Specialist with Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife and end the evening with questions for a panel. This panel with have Dr. Bill Gaines (Wildlife Ecologist and Director of the Washington Conservation Science Institute), Gordon Congdon (former Chelan-Douglas Land Trust Executive Director and later worked for World Wildlife Fund), Dr. Zoƫ Hanley (wildlife ecologist and Senior Representative with Defenders of Wildlife) and Rich Beausoleil.
This is a FREE event with a donation basket at the door.
Doors open at 6:30pm for a community social with beer and wine available for purchase. The presentation will start at 7:00pm.
