Like an enchanted village inside a swirling snow globe, the Bavarian village of Leavenworth, Washington, is truly an unforgettable winter experience. This year due to Covid-19, we are adapting to circumstances and are doing things differently. Our festivals typically draw very large crowds and in our efforts to maximize safety for our community and visitors, we are postponing our Christmas Lighting Festival and countdown for 2020 which was scheduled the first three Saturdays and Sundays of December (4-6, 11-13, 18-20)
We still want to give people the gift and the magic of Leavenworth and will be hanging our beautiful Christmas lights in the downtown! They will come on everyday via timer, 7 days a week around 4:45 from Thanksgiving weekend through Valentines weekend! That means you can come anytime and see them when the time is right for you! If you prefer a virtual experience we will be delivering that as well this year.
Leavenworth is the outdoor recreation epicenter of Washington. Winter is no exception with lots of sunny days, deep snow and fun winter activities for the whole family. If a visit this winter to Leavenworth is in your plans, the Village of Lights will be here shining bright!
