Let’s Talk Beer!

It’s no secret that our Leavenworth breweries are creating some delicious and much sought-after craft beer. This year we have a stellar line-up of local brews at the event, plus our friends at Icicle Brewing, Blewett Brewing, and Doghaus Brewery are once again collaborating on the one-of-a-kind Festbier just for Oktoberfest!

In addition to our local beers, we have a robust lineup of German imports, from Paulaner to Weihenstephaner. Check out the 2023 lineup below.

Local

  • Leavenworth Festbier- Collab beer with Blewett Brewing Company, Doghaus Brewery, and Icicle Brewing Company
  • Dirtyface Amber – Icicle Brewing Company
  • Alpenhaze IPA – Icicle Brewing Company
  • Kölsch – Blewett Brewing Company
  • Doberman Schwarzbier (Dark Beer) – Doghaus Brewery

German Imported

  • Paulaner Oktoberfest Märzen
  • Paulaner Münchner Lager
  • Weihenstephaner Hefeweizen
  • Weihenstephaner Dunkel (Dark Beer)
  • Clausthaler Original (NON-ALCOHOLIC)

The Leavenworth Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that the 2023 Oktoberfest continues moving towards being a ZERO WASTE event! Compostable beer cups, biodegradable paper and no single use plastic utensils or water bottles are just some of the ways we are diverting waste from our area landfills!

Food Options

Brats, German sandwiches, kraut, pretzels, handmade corndogs and donuts and more! Many yummy tastes and smells of Oktoberfest can be found this year at the event.

All around town, you find plenty of German options and so much more like Pub style, Italian, Farm to Table, Mexican to name a few, your taste buds will thank you!

Kinderplatz

Fun for the kiddos (and adults who still feel like a kid!)

Our 10,000 sq ft Kinderplatz has a 62-foot Ferris wheel, bouncy obstacle course, root beer garden, face painting, games, and more. Come by and play!

For families entering the Oktoberfest beer gardens, your entry to the Kinderplatz is free. For those who just want to take your kids inside the Kinderplatz area and do not wish to attend the beer gardens, a separate admission will be available this year:

  • Entry fees: $5.00/Fridays, $10.00 Saturdays (kids 12 and under are free)

Kinderplatz is open 6:00-9:00pm on Fridays and Noon-9:00pm on Saturdays.

Old and New Traditions

Munich Oktoberfest’s longstanding tradition of the official tapping of the keg to signal the start of their festivities, is one we heartily celebrate with our keg tapping ceremony each Saturday at 1:30pm, join us! We have also brought in some new traditions like our stein holding contest and a pretzel toss just to kick the fun notch up another meter!
