It’s May. Spring is here…and, not a moment too soon. The sun is out, the wildflowers are bursting, the apple and pear blossoms are springing to life, and the Bavarian Village is ready for some spring fun!

We’re gearing up for our month-long celebration of Maifest where you can enjoy different events every weekend in May!

Weekends in January!

Picture a stunning backdrop of half a million brilliant lights, majestic mountains frosted with snow and an enchanting Bavarian village filled with fun. Come join us this January for Leavenworth’s Winter Karneval as we honor a German tradition dating back to the thirteenth century, commonly referred to as ‘Fasching’.

Lights on 7 days a week through the month of February

This is the perfect month to share some love (or keep it all for yourself) with a special escape that includes cozy accommodations, tasty dining experiences, local wine and chocolate pairings, exciting outdoor adventures with views for days and so much more, for the sweetest getaway this winter!

We’ve been doing Maifest right since 1971! This weekend will fill your entertainment card right up with Maipole dancing, Bavarian music, our annual Festzug (or Grand March) where town folk dress in their Bavarian best to welcome you to town, and so much more! We love our Bavarian traditions and this weekend is full of them.

Show Mom some love and treat her to a weekend in Leavenworth with live music, flower crowns (after all moms are queens), giveaways, and a special Mother’s Day 5k! Her weekend would be even more special with some shopping, wine tasting, and delicious dining. Go ahead and spoil her, she deserves it!

Join us this Memorial Day Weekend as we present our annual Alphorn Celebration. We will be joined by alphorn players from throughout North America for a weekend of alphorn concerts and special performances.

It’s no secret that our Leavenworth breweries are creating some delicious and much sought-after craft beer. This year we have a stellar line-up of local brews at the event, plus our friends at Icicle Brewing Co, Blewett Brewing and Doghaus Brewing have collaborated on a new beer just for Oktoberfest and only available at the event! Of course, we will also have our trusty German imports, not to mention the many establishments around town with some serious tap game, worthy of checking out. We predict a hearty prost and tasty beer in your future!

Brats, kraut, pretzels, handmade corndogs and donuts. Those yummy tastes and smells of Oktoberfest can be found this year at the event. Our amazing festival brats are being provided by our partners at Bavarian Meats who’ve been making authentic German brats for over 60 years.

All around town, you find plenty of German options and so much more like Pub style, Italian, Farm to Table, Mexican to name a few, your taste buds will thank you!
