Christmastown Festivities: November 29-December 24, 2024

Every winter Leavenworth shines bright with over half a million lights from 6 AM until 11 PM each day from Thanksgiving thru the last day of February! There is no charge to visit Leavenworth and see the lights, so plan to visit our beautiful Bavarian Alpine Village – it’s like living inside a magical snow globe!

Please note that all events and activities end early on December 24th, Christmas Eve.

If you want to see the Christmastown lights with snow and enjoy the town without the large crowds, January or February is a great time to come! The lights are on every day thru the end of February.

Located in the heart of downtown, under half a million lights in the park, the Gazebo is a lively spot during the holidays with entertainment all month long including choirs, carolers and bands such fan favorites the Sugar Plums, performing holiday classics with their own unique style, local musicians bringing in the holiday cheer, and school groups with so many talented kids performing for the cheering crowds. During the  first three weekends in December, our holiday Characters led by Santa and Mrs. Claus, march to the Gazebo and welcome all our visitors then stay around for photo opportunities and fun!

The Sugarplums are the winners of the Christmas Caroler Challenge, a national singing competition on The CW!

The Sugarplums have captivated audiences nationwide with their charming choreography, engaging interaction, and harmonies so sweet they may give you a toothache! Their performances feature all of your holiday music favorites, ranging from beloved classics like “White Christmas” as performed by The Drifters, to upbeat and lively renditions like “Jingle Bells” as performed by The Puppini Sisters and Michael Bublé.

The Jewel Tones are an all-female, Motown-inspired vocal trio who perform hits by The Supremes, The Jackson 5, Gladys Knight & The Pips, Stevie Wonder and many more. These ladies deliver sparkling personality, stellar vocals, fun choreography, and a classic 1960’s look. Bring the family by to take photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus. Enjoy festive holiday concerts or performances like Manuela Horn performing hilarious holiday shenanigans, and the more traditional Bavarian style Leavenworth Alphorns, where you can hear the call of the horns, but also interact and learn the interesting history from these local blowers of all ages. Kids will love the daily story corner, writing letters to Santa (and mailing them) and doing some fun holiday crafts tot take home. There are lots of photo opportunities in this beautifully decorated hall with Santa costumes from around the world on display, Gingerbread house competitions, and family photo stations. Take home some Chritmastown merchandise and have any gifts purchased in town wrapped for free!
