October 4-5, 11-12, & 18-19

Admission Tickets

Tickets for the Oktoberfest Festival include admission to the two event locations: the Festhalle and Front Street Park.

Tickets go on sale in July. We do hold back tickets to sell the day of the event, however, this line can get quite long at opening so we highly recommend getting your tickets in advance so you can avoid this added delay in lifting your stein.

When you pre-purchase your tickets you will proceed to the security entrance gate upon arrival.

We often get asked if there is a fee just to come and walk around downtown and there most assuredly is not. In fact, there are many other establishments that have their own Oktoberfest events and there is live music throughout town to be enjoyed as well.

O-Bucks (Oktoberfest Currency)

In order to expedite the beer and food lines as well as avoid every location from needing a payment register, each of the beer taps, food booths, rides, merchandise and retail booths only take O-bucks for payment.

There are several O-Buck stations in the venue where they can be purchased. O-Bucks purchased on Friday can be used the following Saturday, but not the following weekend(s). 1 O-Buck is $1.

Oktoberfest Venues

From bands playing traditional Bavarian Music to cover bands, three stages allow us to provide something for everyone. Check the program and performer bios for more details, however as a rule of thumb Gazebo Stage at Front Street Park is the venue for traditional Bavarian Music. The Bierzelt Tent is a bit edgier with cover contemporary cover bands. The Festhalle stage offers a variety of experiences from traditional dancers and musicians in the afternoon to bands offering a bit of both traditional and contemporary favorites in the evening hours.

Connecting the Kinderplatz to the Festhalle and Beirzelt venues is our outdoor street fair. Which includes, food and retail vendors plus beer taps. Walk around, take in sights and sounds and enjoy the festive feeling!

Festhalle Main Stage

This stage features all of our amazing headliners playing the widest variety of music including traditional Bavarian favorites, cover songs from the best artists and dance performances.

Bierzelt Stage

For a more rocking time visit this stage where you can rock out with your friends, dance to cover bands and try a polka or two.

Front Street Park Stage

The Park stage in picturesque downtown offers a more traditional Bavarian music scene with plenty of accordions, yodelers and alphorns to entertain.

Street Fair

Wander through the outdoor street scene where you will find food, beer taps, event merchandise, handmade and imported goods plus you’ll find plenty of photo ops!

Bands & Entertainers

This year we have a stellar roster of amazing entertainers lined up! We are thrilled to announce that S-Bahn will be back in Leavenworth for all three weekends! Plus, new this year, we will have West Coast Prost, one of the country’s premiere polka-variety bands, and Die Jungen Weststeirer, a classic polka band out of Austria.

Fan favorites Manuela Horn, The Europa Band, The Hosen Ones, Pech und Schwefel, Michael Stoessl and the Aqua-Nets return to all three stages. And for polka purists we will have The Smilin’ Scandinavians, The Ted Lunka Polka Band, AlpenFolk, Enzian Schuhplattler Dancers and more! For the full lineup click the bio page below.

Kinderplatz

Our 10,000 sq ft Kinderplatz has a 62-foot Ferris wheel, bouncy obstacle course, root beer garden, face painting, games, and more. Come by and play!

For families entering the Oktoberfest beer gardens, your entry to the Kinderplatz is free. For those who just want to take your kids inside the Kinderplatz area and do not wish to attend the beer gardens, a separate admission will be available this year.

Once inside, bouncy obstacle course and games are free and you can purchase tickets for rides on the ferris wheel ($5.00), merchandise, root beer floats and food.

Fun & Games

Part of the fun of Oktoberfest are the games and contests, the most popular being the stein holding competitions! Stein holding is a traditional Bavarian strength contest in which competitors hold a full one-liter beer stein out in front of their bodies with a straight arm, parallel to the ground. You go as long as you can and the last person holding with good form is the winner. Check the program for times and locations of all the competitions and be ready to volunteer when our emcee calls for contestants!

Keg Tapping & Festzug

Each Saturday of Oktoberfest we open the festival with a Festzug march through town. Locals and visitors dress in their Bavarian best with our Alphorn players and other performers to open the Oktoberfest celebrations for the day. We follow with keg tappings at 1pm at the Festhalle Venue and 2pm at the Front Street Park venue.

The Leavenworth Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that the 2024 Oktoberfest continues moving towards being a ZERO WASTE event! Compostable beer cups, biodegradable paper and no single use plastic utensils or water bottles are just some of the ways we are diverting waste from our area landfills!
