Jack Mynatt, Tracy Maynard, and Mike Power are avid, long-time hikers, skiers, and amateur photographers. Jack and Tracy are on the board of the Wenatchee Valley chapter of the Washington Native Plant Society (WNPS). They have been annoying their hiking companions for decades with lengthy stops to take pictures, and now it’s your turn to slow down with them to look and listen.
Jack and Tracy will focus (so to speak) on iPhone photography; Mike uses a DSLR. In addition to showing some pretty pictures, they will discuss a few technical issues, problems and solutions, and make suggestions for taking better shots so you too, can have your photos accepted to the WNPS Calendar.

Interactive glassblowing experience at Boulder Bend Glassworks.
During this workshop you’ll have the opportunity to choose and create your own unique glass piece(s) under the guidance of Craig or Jori. Each participant will enjoy a hands-on experience in the hot shop, witnessing the transformation of molten glass into a stunning work of art.
Book multiple sessions and bring friends or family to share in the fun of glassblowing. We offer this interactive experience most Saturdays, with approximately 60-90 minute sessions for 1-2 participants available throughout the day. The project choices will change every few months with the holidays and seasons. Minimum age 14.

Celebrate the stories, strength, and spirit of the women who shaped Leavenworth. The Greater Leavenworth Museum and PEO Chapter JF invite you to an inspiring afternoon of film, exhibits, and delicious desserts as we honor the remarkable women—past and present—who helped build our valley community.
This year’s event features a community screening of Women in History: Our Founding Mothers II, a locally produced film that continues the legacy of the original 2006 Centennial production. Through vivid storytelling and heartfelt portrayals, the film highlights the courage, creativity, and resilience of Leavenworth’s “women of substance”—women whose strength of character, mind, and spirit helped define our town from the late 1800s to today.

Comprised of two married couples who have all been playing music together since childhood, the essence of the band is “authenticity”.

Come to the Boulder Bend Glassworks studio and start your fusing workshop anytime between 10 am to 3 pm. No reservations required. Generally, participants take 40 to 90 minutes to design their glass piece.
