Are you looking for a Winter activity that doesn’t require a big investment in equipment or instruction? Come up to Ski Hill and try out the fast-growing sport of snowshoeing. Snowshoes are available for checkout between 10am-1pm. There are a limited number of snowshoes available, so we ask that users limit their time to 45 minutes.

Design your own glass fusing in a variety of shapes using colorful hand-pulled cane and murrine made at our studio. No plate glass used here!
The workshop is available 10 am to 3 pm. Generally, participants take 40 to 90 minutes to design their glass piece.
Available for ages 7 and up. Participants under 18 require a parent or guardian.
The Upper Valley Empty Bowls Festival is an annual fundraiser to support the Upper Valley MEND’s Community Cupboard as well as local youth through art grants.
Empty Bowls is a grassroots movement by artists and crafts people in cities and towns around the world to care for and feed the hungry in their communities.
Join the Upper Valley Mend and their artists in the Woodpecker Room at Sleeping Lady to glaze some beautifully made bowls for a good cause!
Join us on January 20 & 21 (Saturday and Sunday) in the Leavenworth Festhalle from noon-6 pm for a ski/snowboard movie marathon!
We will also have a “Kinder Korner” with games to keep the kids happy.
No charge.

Go birding with knowledgeable WRI staff around Walla Walla Point Park and the Horan Natural Area in Wenatchee! All birding skill levels are welcome. Need binoculars? We have loaner binoculars that you can borrow.
Come prepared for the weather. This event will happen rain or shine!
Trail difficulty level: beginner level (2 miles)
Trail is wide enough for ADA access, but trails are mostly gravel and compact earth.
Meet in the north parking lot of Walla Walla Point Park at 7:30am. The plan is to finish by 9:30am.
Come to the Leavenworth Library for an evening of role-playing, dice-rolling, and monster-fighting with Gracie and a group of local D&D enthusiasts!
All supplies will be provided for the full D&D experience.

Come join us this January 26th through January 28th (Friday through Sunday) for Leavenworth’s Winter Karneval as we honor a German tradition dating back to the thirteenth century, commonly referred to as ‘Fasching’. Â
Similar to Mardi Gras, grab a masquerade mask at one of Leavenworth’s participating locations then make your way through town collecting beads at each stop.

Begin the year with new discoveries! Starting from the Leavenworth National Fish Hatchery, join Wenatchee River Institute naturalist guides on a one-mile snowshoe trail along beautiful Icicle Creek.
Make sure to dress in warm layers.
All skill levels are welcome, with snowshoes, gaiters and poles provided.
We will be having a skin ski demo on Saturday from 10 AM – 2 PM. At Plain Hardware, Come try the new Madshus skin skis in our demo fleet! Bring your own boots (NNN binding compatible).
Sergio Cuevas was born and raised in the little Bavarian-themed mountain town of Leavenworth, Washington.
