Planetarium Night Sky Viewing

Join WRI to explore the stars and our solar system. We will start our evening by entering our dome shaped planetarium for a realistic view of our night sky. Witness the sky during different seasons throughout the year, learn winter constellations and get to know our sun, moon and stars like never before. We’ll travel through space to explore the planets and moons in our solar system.

After the planetarium, if the evening gives us clear skies, we’ll have an opportunity to do some stargazing.

Cost: $28 member, $35 nonmember. Not a member? Find our “Membership” page under the Support tab!
Ages: 12+, children must attend with an adult.

Join us every Saturday for an hour of zen to relax, rejuvenate, and renew for the weekend! Our instructor will base the class on your needs and lead you through a practice to focus on the things you are looking for this week.
Registration begins at 9:30am in the resort lobby area where you check-in, pay and get your card punched. We provide mats, bolsters, blocks, blankets, and straps but you are welcome to bring your own. $16 for off-site guests and $10 for resort guests, collect 5 punches on your card and get your 6th class free!

Before the competition gather at Centennial Park for a thrilling lineup of experiences. Awards presentation and concert. Live music from Sour Fuzz, a rock powerhouse hailing from Bellingham. A beer garden will be in a designated audience area, so all ages can enjoy the music.

Make Your Own Glass Fusing Workshop @ Boulder Bend Glassworks

Design your own glass fusing in a variety of shapes using colorful hand-pulled cane and murrine made at our studio. No plate glass used here!

Come to the Boulder Bend Glassworks studio and start your fusing workshop anytime between 10 am to 3 pm. No reservations required. Generally, participants take 40 to 90 minutes to design their glass piece.

Available for ages 7 and up. Participants under 18 require a parent or guardian.

For groups of 6 or more, please inquire regarding a private workshop.

We are excited to announce that we will be hosting bestselling author, TJ Klune, for his paperback release of In the Lives of Puppets. Join us for a book conversation with TJ to learn more about his book followed by a Q&A and book signing.

Doors will open for the event at 6:30pm at the Wenatchee River Institute’s Red Barn.

Event Series Birding by the River

Birding by the River

Go birding with knowledgeable WRI staff around the WRI campus! All birding skill levels are welcome. Need binoculars? We have loaner binoculars that you can borrow.

This is a great opportunity to learn about eBird, the largest biodiversity-related community science project in the world, and utilize it to record our observations of local wild birds. Total walking distance is ½ mile, over a gravel path with two moderate hills. Come prepared for the weather. These walks will happen on the second Wednesday of each month for the whole year. Join us for as many as you can!

Trail difficulty level: beginner
Trail is wide enough for ADA access, but trails are gravel
Bathrooms available at the start and end of the walk

Meet outside the River Haus at 8am and plan to be finished by 9:30am. This is a FREE event and no registration is needed.
