Join WRI for our Plant Foraging Series. We will be hosting plant foraging workshops to introduce people to the abundance of local plants and their edible, medicinal, and functional uses. Each workshop will feature a new plant at its unique harvest time. Participants will learn hands-on how to identify, harvest, propagate, and make use of the plant. Our goal is to empower people to respectfully and reciprocally engage with the plants that live here.
We will meet at Wenatchee River Institute and van/carpool to the Infuse Organics farm.

Hans has been playing duo, solo, trio and in bands in the valley for 15 years. His musical stylings are geared toward singer-songwriter, acoustic, mellow and easy listening to be able to either actively listen to or enjoy as background for dinner or conversation.

The Confederated Tribes of the Colville Reservation, Conservation Northwest, the Okanogan Nation Alliance, the Province of British Columbia, Okanogan Region Trappers and a team of dedicated individuals have begun implementing a five-year project that will restore wápupxn, one of our brothers, back to their ancestral lands. Our high mountain ecosystems have been out of balance since the disappearance of wápupxn in the 1980s when they vanished from the landscape.

Design your own glass fusing in a variety of shapes using colorful hand-pulled cane and murrine made at our studio. No plate glass used here!
Come to the Boulder Bend Glassworks studio and start your fusing workshop anytime between 10 am to 3 pm. No reservations required. Generally, participants take 40 to 90 minutes to design their glass piece.
Available for ages 7 and up. Participants under 18 require a parent or guardian.
For groups of 6 or more, please inquire regarding a private workshop.
Robert Baumann played his first professional accordion gig at age 12 and has been playing professionally at restaurants, wineries and private events ever since for the past 60+ years!
He played upright bass for 30-years with Leavenworth’s beloved Alpine music group, AlpenFolk, and is delighted to be back in town entertaining Leavenworth guests on accordion with his broad background of Bavarian & Austrian music.
Robert speaks German fluently and his music provides the perfect ambience for guests visiting our amazing Bavarian Village.

Daniel Rapport is a Seattle-native, multi-instrument musician, composer, and music educator. He has a degree in Ethnomusicology from the University of Washington and played guitar in the legendary Garfield High School Jazz Ensemble. Daniel brings over a decade of teaching experience to his lessons; which includes instruction in music theory, songwriting, ear training, as well as technique and tone. He enjoys a fun and easygoing learning atmosphere with students of all ages and skill levels.
