Hatchery Creek
This trail is mostly a steady uphill climb that rewards with great views of the Wenatchee River and the surrounding mountains. From the parking area, the Hatchery Creek Trail continues left, leading to alpine meadows at 5.5 miles. Continue another mile to the junction with Icicle Ridge Trail #1570. This is the turn-around point for hearty day hikers. For overnighters, turn right on Trail #1570 and continue for another 2.5 miles to Lake Augusta.

Drive Highway 2 West outside of Leavenworth (start your odometer after you pass the gas station on the corner of Icicle Road and Highway 2 West) for 8.6 miles and go left on Hatchery Creek Road #7905 just after you go over the Wenatchee River Bridge. If you go past Tumwater Campground, you've gone too far by about 400 feet.Follow road # 7905. At 1.2 and 2.2 miles stay right at unmarked junctions. At three miles there is a short spur to the right that leads to the Lake Augusta Parking Area. If coming from Highway 2 East over Stevens Pass go 6 miles on Hwy 2 East past the Lake Wenatchee/Fish Lake Recreation Area and go left on Hatchery Creek Road #7905 just before the Wenatchee River Bridge - it's about 400 feet past the Tumwater Campground.
