A Book for All Seasons is excited to host the book launch and signing for local young adult fiction writer, Rachael Lundin and her debut book, Serenade of the Sasquatch (taking place here in Leavenworth)!

Lundin introduces us to River, a Sasquatch on a quest that brings him to a small town in North Central Washington. This is a story about two teenagers who have a chance encounter with Bigfoot. In the midst of their research, they learn to rely on each other, run into a mysterious man at an abandoned cabin and stumble upon a missing person’s cold case. But really, it’s a story about friendship and facing life’s challenges in a complicated world where parents die, go missing, or are dealing with alcohol addiction. It is in short, an adventure story that explores friendship and loyalty while solving a mystery. This is the first book in a series entitled The Chorus Chronicles.

One of our favorite authors is in town… that means it’s time for a book signing! A Book for All Seasons is excited to welcome Ellie Alexander back to the store this summer. She has written the The Sloan Krause Mystery Series which is set in Beervaria—Leavenworth, Washington a German-inspired village nestled in the alps of the Northern Cascades. Brewmistress Sloan Krause has a nose for hops and a penchant for murder. Most recently, Ellie published The Sloan Krause Mystery Shorts: The First Pour. Independent Bookstore Day is a one-day national party that takes place at indie bookstores across the country on the last Saturday in April. Every store is unique and independent, and every party is different. But in addition to authors, live music, cupcakes, scavenger hunts, kids events, art tables, readings, barbecues, contests, and other fun stuff, there are exclusive books and literary items that you can only get on that day.
