    Come up to Ski Hill as we celebrate the end of Summer with local Live Music with Buzz Brump, Dance party with Abe Martinez, food and drinks! Stay tuned for more details and a ticket link!

    All proceeds from this community event benefit Leavenworth Winter Sports Club!

    Help us raise funds to continue our mission and promote health, fitness and fun through skiing and other winter sports by providing quality facilities, education, and activities to the community!

    Join us Saturday, September 26, during Autumn Leaf Festival Weekend, for a very special 40th Anniversary Celebration at Kris Kringl!

    After enjoying the Autumn Leaf Festival Parade at noon, come downtown for an afternoon and evening filled with special guests, artist demonstrations, signings, raffle prizes, sweet treats and holiday inspiration!

    2:00 PM — Learn to personalize your own complimentary ornament with local artist Candice Ann.

    3:00 PM — Department 56 Villages Designer Paul Lundberg shares the inspiration behind this year’s special 50th Anniversary Department 56 pieces. Gifts with purchase while supplies last!

    4:00 PM — Discover and try for yourself the ancient art of painting ornaments from the inside with Inner Beauty Artist Trieste Cordova.

    5:00 PM — Christopher Radko Designer Joseph Walden discusses the creative process and artistic approach behind these exquisite, handmade European ornaments.

    6:00 PM — Watch Glow Decor Artist Dona Gelsinger paint a masterpiece live before your eyes in an entertaining and inspiring demonstration.

    7:00 PM — Hear about ornament trends—including Jimothy!—from Joe Murphy of Old World Christmas.

    Raffle drawings will take place following each scheduled event!

This year like last year we have exciting enhancements to Oktoberfest bringing the event throughout downtown Leavenworth, with three stages located in two fully programmed venues (beer gardens) located at the Leavenworth Festhalle and Front Street Park. Sit under our clear-topped tent enjoying tasty local and German beers, lively music, and mountain views for days!

    We are especially excited to bring our local breweries Icicle Brewing Co., Doghaus Brewery, and Blewett Brewing into the event to pour their beers (including a collaborative ale they are creating just for us) and we’ll have those classic imports from Germany too! For the kiddos a 10,000 sq foot Kinderplatz has been added, free for kids 12 and under, with activities, games, a root beer garden, a 62ft Ferris Wheel, and more! It’s time to grab your best Trachten (traditional Bavarian garments) and make plans to celebrate Oktoberfest in America’s unofficial Bavarian capital.

    Every winter, Leavenworth shines bright with over half a million lights 6am until 11pm each day from Thanksgiving thru the last day of February! In January and February, we generally see more snow, and with fewer crowds, it is a perfect time for a winter holiday. All shops and restaurants are open.

    There is no charge to visit Leavenworth and see the lights, so make your plans to visit our beautiful Bavarian Alpine Village – it’s like living inside a magical snow globe!

    The Village of Lights continues! Our famous Christmas lights are on every day from approximately 6 am – 11 pm.

    Come join us this January for Leavenworth’s Winter Karneval as we honor a German tradition dating back to the thirteenth century, commonly referred to as ‘Fasching’. You can expect to see a blend of familiar activities, like ice carving and fireworks over Martin Luther King Jr. weekend, along with new entertainment that will be spread out during the rest of the month, making Leavenworth the perfect winter destination all month long.

This weekend will fill your entertainment card right up with Maipole dancing, Bavarian music, our annual Festzug (or Grand March) where town folk dress in their Bavarian best to welcome you to town and includes the Bernese Mountain dogs, and so much more! We love our Bavarian traditions and this weekend is full of them.
