Resort Yoga For All Levels @ Sleeping Lady Resort

Join us every Saturday for an hour of zen to relax, rejuvenate, and renew for the weekend! Our instructor will base the class on your needs and lead you through a practice to focus on the things you are looking for this week.
Registration begins at 9:30am in the resort lobby area where you check-in, pay and get your card punched. We provide mats, bolsters, blocks, blankets, and straps but you are welcome to bring your own. $16 for off-site guests and $10 for resort guests, collect 5 punches on your card and get your 6th class free!

WVHS will be marching in the 2024 Apple Blossom Festival Stemilt Grand Parade on Saturday May 4, 2024 led by King K-9 Gambit and Queen Ms. Murphy. Join us for their coronation at Union Hill Cider Dogs on Saturday, April 20 12:00 – 4:00 PM at 988 South Union Ave, East Wenatchee. Raffles benefitting WVHS include donations from Earthwise Pet, Firehouse Pet Shop and Union Hill Cider. Music with Nic Allen, food from Blue Skies, and pet photography with Chelsea Carey.

Mountain Bike Season Kickoff & Sugar Scrub Class

A day of mountain biking and mingling at the famous Leavenworth Ski Hill trails followed by a special Bubblery activity. The Bubblery will bring all the supplies needed to make a customized sugar scrub.

Make Your Own Glass Fusing Workshop at Boulder Bend Glassworks

Boulder Bend Glassworks 8210 US Highway 2, Leavenworth, WA, United States

Design your own glass fusing in a variety of shapes using colorful hand-pulled cane and murrine made at our studio. No plate glass used here!

Come to the Boulder Bend Glassworks studio and start your fusing workshop anytime between 10 am to 3 pm. No reservations required. Generally, participants take 40 to 90 minutes to design their glass piece.

Available for ages 7 and up. Participants under 18 require a parent or guardian.

For groups of 6 or more, please inquire regarding a private workshop.

Chumlilies are a mountain-loving string band from Leavenworth, WA. They released their first album “Runaway Wild” in 2020.

The Carlile Family Band
12:45pm – 2:00pm
The Carlile Family Band from a tiny, rural Washington town called Curlew. They perform a mix of Folk, Americana, and Indie sounds across nine instruments from box drums to banjos. They thrive on bending genres and having fun while doing it. The band is made up of 3 members with the occasional sibling, aunt, or cousin floating around.

Tai Chi Class

Discover the Chinese art of Tai Chi. Originally a martial art, Tai Chi is now mostly practiced for its immense health benefits. Slow graceful movements, footwork, and natural breathing will be the focus of this class – as will fun! Please wear comfortable clothing that you can move and stretch in and thinner footwear like dance slippers (or bare or near bare feet). All ages and abilities are welcome; if standing for extended periods is a problem, bring a chair.

Qi Gong Class
12:30pm – 1:00pm
Qi Gong is an ancient Chinese Yoga system that is based on Yin /Yang and five element practices. The class will cover the basics of standing meditation, soft health exercises, Chi Ball, natural breathing, and Taoist reverse breathing.

Family Story Time
2:00pm – 2:30pm
Join Mountain Sprouts for story time. Bring a blanket if you have one and cozy up on the lawn to listen to a selection of Earth themed stories appropriate for children of all ages.

Join A Book for All Seasons for a special celebration of Cascadia Field Guide: Art, Ecology, Poetry, winner of the 2024 Pacific Northwest Booksellers Association (PNBA) award! Co-editor, Derek Sheffield and local contributors, Katharine Whitcomb, Jack Johnson, and Kevin Craft will be joining us for this special program to honor the book, its award, and of course, Earth Day. This event is partnered with and takes place at Water from Wine in Leavenworth. Purchase a glass of wine and a book (or two!) and settle in for a wonderful evening of poetry and celebration.

At the event, all 4 local authors will share some of their poetry from Cascadia Field Guide and from their own works. There will be opportunity to purchase Cascadia Field Guide as well as other books by the authors. Don’t forget to get them signed!

Red Barn Event: Fish are Friends

This is a FREE event with a donation basket at the door.
Doors open at 6:30pm for a community social with beer and wine available for purchase. The presentation will start at 7:00pm.

Join Wenatchee River Institute and the Leavenworth National Fish Hatchery for an update on the many projects occurring on and around their campus. You may have seen the major work on the Icicle River or heard of the new partial reuse aquaculture system that is being tested for more efficient use of water. Don’t miss this chance to hear more about these projects.

Wednesday Wenatchee Birding

Walla Walla Point Park 1351 Walla Walla Ave, Wenatchee

Go birding with knowledgeable WRI staff around Walla Walla Point Park and the Horan Natural Area in Wenatchee! All birding skill levels are welcome. Need binoculars? We have loaner binoculars that you can borrow.

Come prepared for the weather. This event will happen rain or shine!

Trail difficulty level: beginner level (2 miles)
Trail is wide enough for ADA access, but trails are mostly gravel and compact earth.
Meet in the north parking lot of Walla Walla Point Park at 7:30am. The plan is to finish by 9:30am.
