Get ready for WRI’s third annual Trashion Show! This fashion show will showcase wearable art made from recycled and repurposed materials. There will be four design team categories this year: adult, high school, youth, and family. Prizes are available for each category, plus a People’s Choice Award where audience members will get to vote for their favorite outfit.
This event is held outside on the WRI River Haus Lawn. Bring snacks, a picnic blanket, or camp chair to make yourself comfortable. Â Beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages will be for sale during this event.
No registration is required to attend this event as an audience member. Just show up and enjoy the fun! This is a free event that is put on by WRI staff and volunteers. Donations accepted through our website.

WRI invites you to join us for a weekend introduction to the language of wildlife tracking. The topics covered over the weekend will include the fundamentals of identifying tracks, developing stories of animal behavior based upon track patterns and signs, and the principles of using natural history to actively look for and find animal track and sign.
Your ticket is for a two-day intro to tracking course. Each day will be a full day spent outside in the field. Be prepared for the day’s weather. Be sure to bring plenty of water and food.

A day of mountain biking and mingling at the famous Leavenworth Ski Hill trails followed by a special Bubblery activity. The Bubblery will bring all the supplies needed to make a customized sugar scrub.

Design your own glass fusing in a variety of shapes using colorful hand-pulled cane and murrine made at our studio. No plate glass used here!
Come to the Boulder Bend Glassworks studio and start your fusing workshop anytime between 10 am to 3 pm. No reservations required. Generally, participants take 40 to 90 minutes to design their glass piece.
Available for ages 7 and up. Participants under 18 require a parent or guardian.
For groups of 6 or more, please inquire regarding a private workshop.

The Carlile Family Band

The Carlile Family Band from a tiny, rural Washington town called Curlew. They perform a mix of Folk, Americana, and Indie sounds across nine instruments from box drums to banjos. They thrive on bending genres and having fun while doing it. The band is made up of 3 members with the occasional sibling, aunt, or cousin floating around.

Discover the Chinese art of Tai Chi. Originally a martial art, Tai Chi is now mostly practiced for its immense health benefits. Slow graceful movements, footwork, and natural breathing will be the focus of this class – as will fun! Please wear comfortable clothing that you can move and stretch in and thinner footwear like dance slippers (or bare or near bare feet). All ages and abilities are welcome; if standing for extended periods is a problem, bring a chair.

Qi Gong is an ancient Chinese Yoga system that is based on Yin /Yang and five element practices. The class will cover the basics of standing meditation, soft health exercises, Chi Ball, natural breathing, and Taoist reverse breathing.

Join Mountain Sprouts for story time. Bring a blanket if you have one and cozy up on the lawn to listen to a selection of Earth themed stories appropriate for children of all ages.
