For the kiddos a 10,000 sq foot Kinderplatz has been added, free for kids 12 and under, with activities, games, a root beer garden, a 62ft Ferris Wheel, and more! It’s time to grab your best Trachten (traditional Bavarian garments) and make plans to celebrate Oktoberfest in America’s unofficial Bavarian capital.

Jim Gorman will be performing live from 5 PM to 7 PM! CSCCW will also be onsite with Happy Letters so all ages can write letters to our cancer warriors. Dine out for an amazing cause!

sJoin us for a screening of the film Bears of Durango in partnership with the National Parks Conservation Association, Defenders of Wildlife, Sierra Club, and Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife.
This is a free community event. Please register for your ticket at no cost.
The film dives headfirst into bear dens, and follows along with biologists studying the relationships between human development and bear behavior. We will spend the evening in the Colorado mountain town of Durango, where prime bear habitat overlaps with expanding human development, much like Leavenworth.
The film follows a wildlife biologist and her team’s research efforts to better understand the drivers behind human-bear conflicts and solutions to proactively prevent them, fostering coexistence with these large carnivores. After the film, we will host a mediated interview with members of NGO’s and state agencies who are actively working in Leavenworth to learn how similar human-bear coexistence efforts are unfolding and what actions we can take as community members to be more BearWise.
