Local country artist Chris Ward is an NCW favorite, known for heartfelt performances and easy charm. This concert is the culmination of our Summer Strings Camp program that offers students a non-audition, intensive, and comprehensive opportunity for strings players going into 6th-12th grades. They spend a week rehearsing and performing in chamber groups with a focus on fundamentals, classical repertoire, lessons, and masterclasses with faculty on our beautiful campus.
This concert is the fifth and final concert offered in our Chamber Music Festival.

Our summer “Jazzamatazz” concert series started in 2003 as a hang-out night listening to Don and Kristen play with their quartet on top of the 1930’s era flatbed farm truck. That series expanded to multiple summer concerts, always featuring the best of the best in Smooth Jazz, Folk, and Rock.
Enjoy amazing live music this summer, starting the last weekend in June. We have reserved the stage here on the lawn for Friday nights. You will hear a little bit of everything this summer. From smooth jazz, folk and rock…there will be something to delight your musical soul. There is no cover, just come and hang out. Wine, meats, cheeses and artisan crackers are here for your purchase enjoyment. Or, if you bring your own picnic lunch, that’s great too.
It’s always a perfect summer evening…seventy-five degrees…. a light breeze, birds singing, as the sun sets behind the majestic Icicle Ridge. Come join us, no reservations required!
Some seating available, but feel free to bring your own low back lawn chairs or blankets too!

A young writer in 1940s North Carolina uncovers a heartbreaking 1920s love story involving a literary editor, a forbidden romance, and a tragic loss – all told through soaring bluegrass melodies that evoke redemption and healing.

Performances begin at 8pm, with the venue opening 1 hour prior to showtime.
Directed by Dr. Emily Rollie, with a 2.5-hour running time, including a 15-minute intermission.

Looking for your country festival this summer? Cascade Country: Boots In The Mountains has you covered. Meet in Leavenworth for full-band sets from Northwest country artists Aaron Crawford, Leah Justine, and Owen Barnhart with Maritza Soto. Mountains on the horizon, sing-alongs under open sky – boots optional but encouraged.
A madcap, 1934 ocean liner voyage erupts with mistaken identities, romantic entanglements, and gangsters on the run, all propelled by Cole Porter’s dazzling score and show-stopping tap dance numbers that define Broadway glamour.

Northwest CMA finalist and two-time nominee, Owen Barnhart is a country solo artist, singer-songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist from Washington State’s North Cascades. Raised in a remote mountain town and descended from early Lake Chelan homesteaders, Owen discovered music as a child while navigating alopecia, a rare form of hair loss that helped shape his resilience and creative voice. He delivers soulful, banjo-driven performances and distinctive takes on Country and Americana classics, performing full-time across the Northwestern U.S. at farms, festivals, wineries, songwriter events, and charity functions. His influences include Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, and Sturgill Simpson.
