Starting from the Leavenworth National Fish Hatchery, join Wenatchee River Institute naturalist guides on a one-mile trail along beautiful Icicle Creek. We will learn about native wildlife and ecology along the way. What signs do we see along the trail that tell us what animals were there? How do the plants and animals survive winter? Gaiters and poles will be provided (and snowshoes if weather/snowpack permits).

  • Tierra Challenge

    The Tierra Challenge is a cross-country and snowshoe event for people with developmental disabilities on February 28-March 1 at the Tierra Learning Center. Over 100 people from various regions of the State plan to attend including athletes, coaches, parents and volunteers.

  • Summer Shred III at Ski Hill

    Join us for a morning of family-friendly Mountain Biking! At The Summer Shred, kids, families, and the community will gather, ride, and cheer on racers in a fun environment. From strider bikes and the adult/teen costume relay to bike decorating and food vendors, there will be something for everyone. Registration required; scholarships available; day-of registration available.

  • Cascades Track and Sign Evaluation with David Moskowitz

    Spend two full days in the Cascades around Leavenworth, with professional wildlife tracker, naturalist, educator and author, David Moskowitz. This wildlife track and sign evaluation is offered through CyberTracker North America. David’s approach to this class is highly interactive, engaging participants in identification and interpretation of tracks and signs. Transportation during class is provided.

    Food and lodging NOT included.
