  • Bird Fest Happy Hour & Game Night

    After a great day of birding, come socialize with us at the Bird Fest Happy Hour held on the beautiful Wenatchee River Institute campus! Open to everyone with no registration required, this free event is the perfect place to drop in anytime to meet fellow birders and friends, old and new.

    3:00 – 5:00 PM | Bird Games: Join Audubon volunteers to play Wingspan and other bird-themed games—whether you’re a seasoned player or just want to see what the buzz is about.

    5:30 – 7:00 PM | Bird Trivia: Put your knowledge to the test! Bring your own team or join one on the spot for some friendly competition.

    Refreshments: Beer, wine, and sparkling water will be available for purchase. Thanks to our sponsor Icicle Brewing Company for providing the beer!

  • Interactive Glassblowing Experience @ Boulder Bend Glassworks

    Boulder Bend Glassworks 8210 US Highway 2, Leavenworth, WA, United States

    During this workshop, you’ll have the opportunity to choose and create your own unique glass piece(s) under the guidance of Craig or Jori. Each participant will enjoy a hands-on experience in the hot shop, witnessing the transformation of molten glass into a stunning work of art.

    Book multiple sessions and bring friends or family to share in the fun of glassblowing. We offer this interactive experience most Saturdays, with approximately 60-90 minute sessions for 1-2 participants available throughout the day. The project choices will change every few months with the holidays and seasons. Minimum age 14.

    Registration begins at 9:30am in the resort lobby area where you check-in, pay and get your card punched. We provide mats, bolsters, blocks, blankets, and straps but you are welcome to bring your own. $16 for off-site guests and $10 for resort guests, collect 5 punches on your card and get your 6th class free!

    A highlight of the festival season is back! We invite you to the Bird Fest Community Fair—a gathering for families, youth, and adults to celebrate birds, wildlife, and the beautiful Wenatchee Valley.

    Continuing our tradition of an extended schedule, the fair remains open later into the afternoon so you can head over straight from your morning birding field trips. Enjoy a full afternoon of art and nature activities, guided walks, and live music from local musicians. With a wide variety of artists and vendors on-site, there is truly something for everyone to enjoy.

  • Make Your Own Glass Fusing Workshop @ Boulder Bend Glassworks

    Boulder Bend Glassworks 8210 US Highway 2, Leavenworth, WA, United States

    Design your own glass fusing in a variety of shapes using colorful hand-pulled cane and murrine made at our studio. No plate glass used here!

    Come to the Boulder Bend Glassworks studio and start your fusing workshop anytime between 10 am to 3 pm. No reservations required. Generally, participants take 40 to 90 minutes to design their glass piece.

    Available for ages 7 and up. Participants under 18 require a parent or guardian.

    For groups of 6 or more, please inquire regarding a private workshop.
