    A dozen actors take you on a whirlwind tour through America’s history, featuring portrayals of Abe Lincoln, FDR, JFK, and Martin Luther King, and famous songs as sung by Woody Guthrie, Kate Smith, and Whitney Houston.

    Bring a chair or blanket and enjoy the serene setting of the outdoor Meadow Stage.

    STEAM: Music Makers, Build a Harp (Ages 12–15) | July 7–10

    Students build their own harp with provided materials and tools, then learn the fundamentals of playing. Guided by experienced music educators, campers rehearse throughout the week and conclude with a performance of Celtic songs. No experience necessary.

    Rumbo Tumba builds loop-based compositions in real time from handcrafted South American instruments, transforming traditional folk roots in unexpected ways. Terror/Cactus layers Latin American rhythms, electronic production, psychedelic guitar, and polyrhythmic grooves. Dance and groove, under the stars.

    During this 75-minute conversation, Kristin will provide insights on the significance of her female characters and the importance of placing complex, resilient female characters at the center of historical events. We will discover how Firefly Lane and The Nightingale were singled out of her other works as a Netflix series (Firefly Lane) and an upcoming movie (The Nightingale).
